Long term Might and Magic Fans were absolutely outraged by ill treatment which according to many of the other posts here what they objected to has become rather standard practices and common abuses by some manufacturers of primarily play station games.Īpparently play station owners were either oblivious, too young to know they were being abused, or at least were too apathetic to do anything material about it (like refuse to buy new games by the same manufacturers). The Might and Magic franchise was mostly (up to VII or VIII) made by reputable manufacturers who treated their customers well and provided them with a high quality game that they stood behind including removing any blocking bugs rather than actually inserting new ones intentionally. While MMX purchasers are horrified by how they were treated, Ubisoft is also horrified by how they were treated by MMX purchasers. The blocks also blocked a huge portion of honest purchasers and MMX customers were of high enough quality to object to this. It was a horrible experience for those customers that there were so many intentionally inserted blocks in the name of security. nowhere really.Yes, read a few posts and you can see how livid MMX and DLC purchasers are. In fact, it's all rather confusing at first as you plough about beating up poor defenceless goblins and getting, erm. There are no set goals and no preset characters that you have to use.
